My experience writing and recording a shortstory!
Hi, everyone! Hope you are doing great! I know that these weeks are terrible because is the ending of the semester but we are almost there!
First, I have to say that writing a story with more people is kind of difficult at the beginning because everyone has their way of thinking, beliefs, likes, dislikes, etc. In my group, we all start to give a lot of ideas like a brain storming of things we could write about and then we decided which if them sounded more interesting! At that point, we decided to write about a man who acted as a "Cupido" in a magic world but he ended unhappy, in that moment I had to talked a lot of times hahhahahah because all my classmates wanted a sad ending and I wanted a happy ending, so I had to though about many reasons why we had to end with a happy ending (not for everyone in the story of course but for most of them). At the end, I could had my happy ending hahhaah. The next thing we did after having a brief idea of the story was to name the characters, divide and organize the parts of the story and then write everything in detail. To be honest, I'm not good at writing, I just wrote a few paragraphs of the story and checked the sequence of ideas. If I had to have a role in my group it was the one who talked a lot and said every idea that came into her mind, fifty percent of my ideas were rejected but others were accepted.
For me, it was a pleasure to have work with my team girls. I think that we all had something to contribute. There were the ones who were a wonderful writers (I really admire people that are very passionate when writing), editors, creatives, and so on. I had a really good team since whe didn't have any problem with each other and we discussed everything calmed.
My experience recording the story was not that good since I lost the count of how many times I recorded myself saying the same things. It was a little frustrating since I wanted to sound good, pronounced well, had a good pace, etc. And doing all those things at the same time was a little difficult. If I didn't make a mistake on the pronunciation, I confused the word or I said it with the wrong intonation. But at the end I recorded one audio that I liked after recording many of them.
Hope you have had a great time as well doing these activities!
Have a great night!
